About Pro Peptide

What is Pro Peptide?

Pro Peptide is a Canadian peptide supplier specializing in research-grade compounds. We ship domestically across Canada with cold chain packaging and publish batch-specific Certificates of Analysis on every product page. All Pro Peptide products are sold for research use only.

Where is Pro Peptide based?

Pro Peptide is based in Canada and ships exclusively within Canada. We made this decision deliberately. Domestic-only shipping means no customs delays, no border seizures, and no temperature-compromised packages sitting in a warehouse for three weeks. It also means we can guarantee cold chain integrity from our facility to your door.

Is Pro Peptide a pharmacy or a pharmaceutical company?

No. Pro Peptide is not a pharmacy, compounding pharmacy, or pharmaceutical manufacturer. We are a research peptide supplier. Our products are sold strictly for research use and are not intended for human consumption, diagnosis, or therapeutic application.

Does Pro Peptide ship internationally?

No. Pro Peptide ships within Canada only. We would rather do one country well than do several countries poorly. Domestic shipping eliminates customs risk, reduces transit time, and lets us maintain cold chain packaging standards on every single order.

How do I contact Pro Peptide?

You can reach Pro Peptide through the contact form on our website or by email. We respond to inquiries during business hours and aim to get back to you within 24 hours. If you have a question about a specific product or your order, include your order number and we will get to it faster.

Product Quality + Testing

How does Pro Peptide verify product quality?

Pro Peptide publishes batch-specific Certificates of Analysis on every product page. These COAs include purity, identity, endotoxin, and sterility data, with HPLC verification per batch.

What is a Certificate of Analysis (COA)?

A Certificate of Analysis is a lab document that reports the results of quality testing on a specific batch of product. It typically includes purity percentage (via HPLC), mass spectrometry identity confirmation, endotoxin levels, sterility results, and residual solvent data. Pro Peptide posts batch-specific COAs directly on each product page so you can review them before purchasing.

What does "99% purity" actually mean?

Purity is measured using High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), which separates the target compound from impurities in the sample. A purity of 99% means that 99% of the sample is the intended compound and 1% is other material. No compound reaches 100% purity. That is a physical limitation, not a quality failure. If a supplier claims 100% purity, that is a red flag, not a selling point.

How do I know the COA matches the product I receive?

Every Pro Peptide COA is batch-specific, meaning it corresponds to the exact batch your product was drawn from. This is not a generic document that covers an entire product line. It is a report tied to a specific production run.

Ordering + Shipping

How fast does Pro Peptide ship?

Pro Peptide ships same day on orders placed during business hours. Every order ships with cold chain packaging as standard. Not as an upgrade. Not as an add-on. Standard.

Is shipping free?

Free shipping on all orders over $300 CAD. Under that, a flat $15 fee applies. Every order ships with cold chain packaging regardless of order size because we are not going to let a $40 vial sit in a warm truck to save on packing materials. That is not how this works.

What is cold chain shipping?

Cold chain shipping means your order is packed with insulated materials and gel packs designed to maintain a stable, cool temperature during transit. Peptides are temperature-sensitive. Exposing them to heat during shipping can degrade the compound before it reaches you. Pro Peptide includes cold chain packaging on every order at no extra charge because skipping it would defeat the purpose of selling high-purity compounds in the first place.

What payment methods does Pro Peptide accept?

Pro Peptide accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Interac e-Transfer. All prices are in Canadian dollars. No currency conversion surprises. Accepting credit cards is a deliberate choice. In the peptide space, crypto-only payment is often a signal that a vendor cannot pass payment processor compliance checks. We can.

Do you offer bulk or volume discounts?

Yes. Orders of 10 or more vials receive 15% off automatically at checkout. No coupon code needed. No hoops. If your lab runs through volume on a regular basis, our VIP program offers additional tiered pricing. Tier 1 (Researcher) starts at your first order with 5% research credits. Tier 2 (Senior Researcher) kicks in at 10 orders with 10% credits and priority shipping. Tier 3 (Principal Investigator) is for 25+ orders or clinic accounts with 15% credits and dedicated allocation.

Do you offer refunds or replacements?

Pro Peptide stands behind the quality of every product we ship. If there is a quality issue with your order, contact us and we will make it right. We do not do the thing where customer service makes you jump through seventeen hoops and then offers you a 10% coupon. If the product did not meet our documented quality standards, we fix it. Due to the nature of research compounds and cold chain requirements, we cannot accept returns on opened or temperature-compromised products. Sealed, unopened products can be returned within 14 days.

Is Pro Peptide packaging discreet?

Yes. All Pro Peptide orders ship in plain, unbranded packaging. The contents are not visible or identifiable from the outside. Your order is your business.

Peptides 101

What are peptides?

Peptides are short chains of amino acids. Your body produces thousands of them naturally. They act as signaling molecules, meaning they tell cells and systems what to do. Synthetic research peptides are lab-produced versions of these naturally occurring sequences, created for use in scientific research. Pro Peptide supplies research-grade synthetic peptides for laboratory and investigational use only.

What does "research use only" mean?

It means exactly what it says. Pro Peptide products are sold for use in scientific and laboratory research. They are not approved for human consumption, diagnosis, or therapeutic use by Health Canada or any regulatory body. This is not a wink or a legal technicality. It is the intended use case for every product we carry.

What is the difference between a peptide and a protein?

Size, mostly. Peptides are shorter amino acid chains (typically 2 to 50 amino acids). Proteins are longer chains (50+ amino acids) that fold into complex three-dimensional structures. The distinction matters because shorter chains tend to behave differently in research settings. Some compounds, like BPC-157, are peptide fragments of larger parent proteins, which is part of what makes them interesting to researchers.

What does "lyophilized" mean?

Lyophilized means freeze-dried. Most research peptides ship as a dry powder in a sealed vial. This form is significantly more stable than liquid. It resists degradation during storage and shipping, which is why Pro Peptide (and the wider research community) prefers it. The powder is reconstituted with bacteriostatic water or sterile water before use in a research setting.

What is bacteriostatic water?

Bacteriostatic water is sterile water that contains 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a preservative. The preservative inhibits bacterial growth, which makes it suitable for multi-use applications in laboratory settings. It is different from plain sterile water, which contains no preservative and is intended for single-use only. Pro Peptide carries bacteriostatic water alongside our peptide catalog.

What is the most popular peptide for recovery research?

BPC-157 is the most frequently ordered compound in our Healing + Recovery category and it is not particularly close. It has one of the deepest bodies of published research of any recovery peptide, with data spanning tendons, gut tissue, muscle, and bone. TB-500 is the second most popular. Many research protocols study them in combination because they work through different mechanisms. We carry both individually and as a Recovery Stack bundle.

What is the difference between BPC-157 and TB-500?

Different mechanisms, complementary research applications. BPC-157 modulates the nitric oxide system and promotes angiogenesis (new blood vessel formation). TB-500 regulates actin and supports cell migration to damaged areas. They work through entirely different pathways, which is why so many research protocols study them together rather than choosing one. We carry both individually and as a bundled Recovery Stack for labs running combination protocols.

Do you have a reconstitution calculator?

Yes. There is a Reconstitution Calculator on the Research Tools page. It is free to use, no account needed. Plug in your vial size, your desired concentration, and it tells you exactly how much bacteriostatic water to add. Simple math, but the kind of simple math that is easy to mess up at 11pm when you have been in the lab too long. We built the tool so nobody has to do that math tired.

Legal + Regulatory

Is it legal to buy peptides in Canada?

The regulatory landscape for peptides in Canada is complex. Health Canada classifies most injectable peptides as prescription drugs. Selling unauthorized health products is prohibited under Canadian law. Pro Peptide sells all products strictly for research use, not for human consumption or therapeutic application. We encourage all customers to familiarize themselves with applicable regulations in their jurisdiction. Pro Peptide does not provide legal advice.

Does Pro Peptide sell drugs?

No. Pro Peptide is not a pharmacy and does not sell prescription drugs, over-the-counter medications, or products intended for human use. We sell research-grade peptide compounds for scientific and laboratory research purposes only. No Pro Peptide product is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.

Are peptides the same as steroids?

No. Peptides and anabolic steroids are completely different classes of compounds with different structures, different mechanisms, and different regulatory classifications. Anabolic steroids are controlled substances in Canada. Research peptides are not scheduled or controlled substances, though many are regulated as unauthorized health products if marketed for human use. Pro Peptide does not sell controlled substances.

Does Pro Peptide make health claims about its products?

No. Pro Peptide does not make health claims, therapeutic claims, or efficacy claims about any product. We provide factual information about each compound's molecular properties and reference published peer-reviewed research where available. We do not suggest, recommend, or imply that any product should be used for human consumption or self-administration.

What is Health Canada's position on peptides?

Health Canada regulates injectable peptides as health products. Selling unauthorized health products in Canada is illegal under the Food and Drugs Act. Health Canada has conducted enforcement actions against vendors selling peptides for human use. Pro Peptide operates within a research-use framework and does not market products for human consumption. For the most current regulatory information, we recommend consulting Health Canada's official website directly.

Storage + Handling

How should I store peptides?

Lyophilized (freeze-dried) peptides should be stored in a freezer at -20 degrees Celsius for long-term storage. A standard refrigerator (2-8 degrees Celsius) is suitable for short-term storage or products in active use. Keep vials away from light and moisture. Proper storage preserves compound integrity and extends shelf life. Specific storage recommendations for each Pro Peptide product are listed on the product page and COA card.

How long do peptides last?

Lyophilized peptides stored properly at -20 degrees Celsius can remain stable for 12 months or longer, depending on the compound. Once reconstituted with bacteriostatic water, most peptides should be refrigerated at 2-8 degrees Celsius and used within a reasonable timeframe. Storage duration varies by compound. Check the product page on propeptide.ca for compound-specific guidance.

Do peptides need to be refrigerated during shipping?

Yes. Peptides are temperature-sensitive and can degrade if exposed to excessive heat during transit. This is why Pro Peptide includes cold chain packaging (insulated containers and gel packs) on every order as standard. We ship domestically within Canada only, which keeps transit times short and reduces temperature exposure. It is one of the reasons we chose not to ship internationally.

What happens if my peptides arrive warm?

If your Pro Peptide order arrives and you believe the cold chain was compromised during transit, contact us immediately. We take shipping integrity seriously because there is no point in verifying purity at the lab if the compound degrades in a mailbox. Include photos of the packaging and we will work with you to resolve it.

Can peptides be shipped in summer or winter safely?

Yes, with proper precautions. Pro Peptide ships with cold chain packaging year-round, which insulates against both heat and freezing temperatures. Canadian summers and winters both present challenges for temperature-sensitive compounds. Our packaging is designed to handle both. If extreme weather advisories are in effect, we may adjust shipping methods or timing to protect your order. We would rather delay a shipment by a day than send it into a polar vortex.
